The Troubled British High Street
Various British Companies have gone bust over the last decade. Retail Research has reported that a total of 34 businesses that have gone into Administration since 2008, of which some cease to exist anymore. You are training to become business analysts in a large multinational organisation. Compare the impact of large-scale change that had upon at least two of the organisation's strategy and operations. Use appropriate theory and Also evaluate how the change will have affected behaviours within one of the chosen organisations and, using theory and models, propose measures that could be taken to minimise negative impact on the chosen business.
The submission is in the form of a comparative report and should include the following:
1. A brief of the organisation case studies.
2. An introduction to the drivers and impacts of change and affects of organizational strategy.
3. A PEST/SWOT analysis for at least two businesses from the case studies to identify drivers of change.
4. Analysis one of the chosen organisations on the impact of change and the effects it has upon the organisation's strategy and operations. Determine the change that has taken place with impact that change has on the chosen organisation's strategy and operations. Consider both internal impacts as well as external impacts
- Analyse the change that will affect leadership, individuals and team behaviour in one of the chosen organisations from the case studies
- Analyse the impact of change that has minimised and the application of appropriate models to process change efficiently within one of the chosen organisations. Chose a case study where organisational change is still happening evaluate how the impact could be minimised.

Project Brief
Scenario
Explain barriers to change and the influence it has on the decision making of leaders in the chosen organization. Using a variety of change management theories and models (situational leadership, change initiation, Kotter's 8-Step model, Lewin's change management model), apply different leadership approaches to dealing with the change identified in the case study.
This is to be presented as an individual PowerPoint presentation and slides should
cover/consider the following:
- Introduction to the case study organization.
- Application of force field analysis to evaluate opposition and support for change within the business you have chosen from the case studies.
- Explain the different barriers to change and how they influenced decision making and leadership within your chosen business.
- How was change accomplished and how successful was it within your chosen organization?
- Advantages and disadvantages of different leadership approaches to dealing with change.
