Leadership provides a vision and direction for the success and growth of an organization and it helps to effectively deal with changing needs and develops tools for both strategy and design enforcement plans. In order to manage the changing business conditions management needs to change the approach and enforce change (Sadler, 2012). Leadership continues to be a âbuzzword' in the contemporary world of business and strong leadership is considered an absolute necessity for the success of the corporation. After undertaking the previous work on GM502 and acquiring insights into leadership, I have formed my own set of skills and the meaning of leadership from my own personal point of view (Starke and et. al., 2011). Here, I would like to state that a leader is a person who gives direction and guides subordinates toward a common goal by demonstrating them and creating an environment in which other team members feel actively associated with the entire process.
A leader is not the boss of a team but instead, an individual who is committed to undertaking the mission of the venture. Leaders inspire others to follow them to a particular destination and assist in management to move ahead to places that the company has never been (Eddy and et. al., 2004). It could be something that no one else visualizes or no one else prefers to tackle. It is the focus of leader's attention that they undertake with a single mind determination.
After reviewing various data it can be stated that an efficient leader possesses an exemplary character and is of utmost significance that a leader should be trustworthy in order to lead others. Here, it is the responsibility of subordinates that leaders need to be trusted with honesty and integrity to have responsibility for others. From the analysis, certain gaps have been identified and leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act to achieve a common goal (Abiodun, 2010). Leadership can be argued as a multidimensional approach and a leader is mostly required to lead ahead in teams, strategy, change, and projects then the complexity of leaders becomes apparent. From the various studies, it has been found that leadership includes distinguished qualities that help in managing contingency situations and undertaking work to move ahead in business smoothly.
In this context, different strategies are incorporated by leaders who are involved in strategies to achieve the target within the stipulated time period. Leadership acts as a bridge between management and the workforce which are mutually associated with each other to find the exact functioning of the company (Yammarino and Dansereau, 2009). Efficient leadership helps to express the strategic vision of the company and motivate the workforce to achieve desired results.
What skills a leader must possess?
Leadership is an essential factor for any system to begin responding effectively to the system and build up potential requirements to review with existing realities of business. The leaders of today need to disappear from other modes to provide direction and comprehend the current market situation and skills in order to deal with them (Jones, 2004). Certain gaps have been identified in some of the previous studies and then in this respect, leaders of today need to disappear from previous modes in order to understand the prevailing market conditions and skills in order to deal with them.

Leaders must have both the skills i.e. analytical and diagnostic as it will give them an idea to discover issues in order to undertake strategic decisions in the vision of the company and in order to make strategic decisions in the company with an approach to understand others. A new leader should possess a Six Sigma quality so that no defects in the work should be there and work is divided among the team members to manage the changing issues effectively (Maxwell, 2007). While enforcing change in the corporation three factors should be given importance i.e. an individual possesses in right skills, attitude, and knowledge.
As stated in previous reports a leader needs to possess four main traits i.e. honesty, inspiring, forward-looking, and must be competent enough to manage different situations. But in the changing business conditions, I think a leader should have certain other attributes as well as it will help in managing the condition more effectively. One of the traits is situational understanding as it will help leaders understand the different conditions and the way they impact workforce performance and motivation levels (Thomas, 2013).
How do leadership traits help in accomplishing corporate goals?
As from the above discussion, it can be stated that the first and foremost concern for a leader is to manage team members as efficient management and leadership traits help in accomplishing the corporate goals. It assists in capitalizing the workforce on the strengths and potential of employees and their ability to contribute in the achievement of organizational goals (Adair, 2006). In developing the above-stated leaders it is essential to balance their existing strengths and weaknesses as their study shows that a common issue with some of the employees is their inability to adjust their skills in their position. Hence, in these situations, a well-designed training program could help to manage the situations and undertake the work effectively.
The modern approach is that through persistence, patience and hard work one can be a highly effective leader just as long as one makes an effort to unlike the old perception of leadership and is a trait that exists within a person and is considered a process that fulfills three important requirements that impact on group and achievement of a goal (Adeniyi and et. al., 2010). Leadership is an amalgamation of values, behaviors, skills, and wisdom that each leader should possess and it is important for every leader to understand his or her own abilities and talent as it will help to eradicate other issues of management.
Here, it can be stated that the best approach of leaders to their work and empowerment will be to subordinates and become a future leader. Through the above-stated approaches, leaders determine themselves that will actively direct their path and achieve leadership which can be measured through an optimum communication system (Junarso, 2009). Leadership is a crucial process in order to execute planning, manage, and coordinate, issues in management and all other decision-making process. A focus should also be given to monitoring the way information is being communicated to group members and influencing others to follow the instructions and achieve increased benefits (Swansburg, 2000). For this leaders need to develop a strategic environment in work to comprehend team member's needs and enhance productivity with efficient performance.
How An Adequate Leadership Help in Taking Crucial Decisions?
All those leaders who possess in the above-mentioned ability to convince team members and express their confidence towards the framed strategic objectives can acquire in best quality of effort from the team members. In this regard, leaders must behave in a purposeful manner in different critical conditions and find out sense of security when there is any kind of contingency situation in the management (Mattiske, 2012).
In the changing business conditions, none of the corporations could sustain and develop in the absence of effective leadership. Here, the prime element is to manage a probable balance of needs and conception to achieve the goal of the company (Stark and et. al., 2002). Finally, it can be stated that although there are several leadership traits that are focused on self-management practices and self-leadership strategies which is the most essential condition to become a successful leader.
Self-leadership approaches include in methods to influence people and achieve the desirable result and one of the utmost behavioral-focused strategies in leadership is self-management. It simply gives attention to the way team members possess an internal self-management system and involves them in a self-assessment process to manage their daily activities (Thomas, 2013). Efficient leaders should have the trait to remain calm when challenges arise and be tolerant of ambiguity to achieve goals in order to undertake their journey efficiently.
CONCLUSION
From the above analysis, it can be concluded that leaders in the present era need to manage different contingency conditions and in this respect need to enforce strategies through which effective results can be acquired. Leaders in this time need to transform their existing skills so that the best results can be acquired by motivating the workforce.
